What we have funded

Thanks to the generosity of those making a gift in their will, Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity was able to make a contribution of £500,000 to a £1.9 million redevelopment of the Eye Hospital. A new dedicated children’s unit was created for the hospital which includes a waiting area with toys and soft play, a children’s optometry room, four extra consulting rooms and a genetic eye clinic large enough for families to be seen together. It also meant a new retinal treatment and research unit was made possible bringing research and treatment more closely together allowing the team to see many more patients on clinical trials.
